How the list is made
NYC Pizza Map is a curated "best of" — roughly 100–110 pizzerias across all five boroughs, not a full directory of every place that sells a slice. Every spot on the map has to earn its place.
This isn't personal reviews. The list is built by aggregating critical consensus — sources like Eater, The Infatuation, One Bite, the New York Times, and community discussion on r/FoodNYC — then cross-checking names, addresses, and neighborhoods against primary sources before anything goes on the map. Every blurb is written from scratch, in my own words.
Why this exists
This is a hobby project and a first website, not a startup. I wanted an excuse to learn how to build and ship something real, and NYC pizza gave me an entire city's worth of material to work with.
Something wrong?
Places close, chefs change, and I won't have eaten everywhere. If you spot an error or think something deserves a spot, use the "Suggest a Spot" link — I read every message.
